Yosemite National Park
Tours

DNC Parks & Resorts at Yosemite offers bus tours year-round. Tours operate in Yosemite Valley all year, and to Glacier Point, Wawona & Mariposa Grove, and Tuolumne Meadows in summer.

The two-hour Valley Floor Tour is conducted by National Park Service rangers from May through October (weather permitting).

In addition, interpretive programs (nature & history walks) are offered year-round by National Park Service rangers, concessioner staff, and park partners.

All regularly scheduled programs are listed in Yosemite Today.

Self-guiding trails are available in several areas of the park:

Did You Know?
The indigenous people of Yosemite Valley have used fire as a tool for thousands of years. Fire was used to encourage the growth of plants used for basket making and to promote the growth of the black oak--a sun loving species--and a staple food source for American Indians from this region.
