Things To Do

Yosemite is full of opportunity! Explore Yosemite by hiking or biking. Spend some time with a park ranger learning about Yosemite or get a broad overview by taking a bus tour. You can even help Yosemite by volunteering for a few hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day).

The Yosemite Guide has information about all scheduled activities and hours of operation for services.

Did You Know?
Giant sequoias are a fire adapted species. Their bark is fire resistant and fire helps open the sequoia cone and scatter the tiny seeds. Fire also clears forest debris from the mineral soil and provides a nutrient rich seed bed as well as clearing competing species.
