Tuolumne Meadows Shuttle Bus

Use the free Tuolumne Meadows shuttle bus for service in the greater Tuolumne Meadows area from June through mid September (dates vary from year to year).

The shuttle provides service between Tuolumne Meadows and Olmsted Point every half hour between 7 am and 7 pm, as follows:

  1. Tuolumne Meadows Lodge (7 am to 6 pm)
  2. Dog Lake Parking
  3. Tuolumne Meadows Wilderness Center
  4. Lembert Dome
  5. Tuolumne Meadows Campground and Store
  6. Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center
  7. Cathedral Lakes Trailhead
  8. Pothole Dome
  9. East end of Tenaya Lake
  10. Sunrise Lakes Trailhead (west end of Tenaya Lake)
  11. May Lake Trailhead
  12. Olmsted Point (7:30 am to 6 pm)
 

The shuttle also provides service between Tuolumne Meadows Lodge and Tioga Pass (with a stop at Mono Pass), as follows:

No free shuttle service is available between the Tuolumne Meadows area and Yosemite Valley or other areas of the park. However, DNC offers a tour bus to and from Tuolumne Meadows (one-way tickets available) and YARTS offers a Highway 120 East bus, as well.

Did You Know?
Starting in 1907, the Yosemite Valley Railroad brought passengers bound for Yosemite Valley up the Merced River canyon to El Portal. From there, they would take stagecoaches to the Valley. Some of the old train cars are now on display in El Portal.
