Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument
Operating Hours & Seasons
Virgin Islands Coral Reef Monument does not close.  The Monument is under the administration of Virgin Islands National Park, and therefore shares the same Visitor Center in Cruz Bay, St. John.

The Visitor Center is open daily, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM., and is just a short walk from the public ferry dock. The telephone number is 340-776-6201, ext. 238.

The Center is closed on Christmas Day.

Did You Know?
Alexander Hamilton lived on St. Croix between the age of 10 and 18. His mother, Rachel Fawcett Lavien, was imprisoned for several months at Fort Christiansvaern for fighting with her husband. Once released, she fled St. Croix and met Alexander’s father, James Hamilton.
