1:30 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site

2:40 p.m. -   Dedication to Airmen Memorial Highway (Exit 42 to Exit 32)

2:30-4:30 p.m. – Public Guided Tours of Hangar 1 at Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site

5:30-7:00 p.m. – Lonely Eagles Theatrical Production “Tuskegee Airmen meet Josephine Baker”, Tuskegee Municipal Center

6:00-10:00 p.m. – “Tuskegee Under the Stars” Celebration at Downtown Square featuring the “Ladies Must Swing” jazz band

Saturday, October 11

7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Black Pilots of America youth plane rides at Moton Field

9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Static Aircraft Display, Historic Site Tours, and Panel Discussions at Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site

1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Movie Premiere "In Their Own Words: The Tuskegee Airmen" (by Bryton Entertainment) Kellogg Conference Center Theater

9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – “Sentinels in the Sky “Art Exhibit at Tuskegee Human and Civil Rights Multicultural Center

6:00-10:00 p.m. – “Honoring Tuskegee Airmen” evening gala sponsored by the Friends of Tuskegee Airmen NHS featuring Lionel Richie at the Renaissance Spa and Conference Hotel, Montgomery, AL (ticketed event)

Sunday, October 12

9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Static Aircraft Display, Historic Site Tours, and Panel Discussions at Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site

9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. – “Sentinels in the Sky” Art Exhibit at Tuskegee Human and Civil Rights Multicultural Center – 104 S. Elm Street

9:30 a.m. – “Tuskegee University Day” – Special Convocation Chapel Service at Tuskegee University Chapel. Brunch immediately following the service (invitation only).

1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Movie Premiere "In Their Own Words: The Tuskegee Airmen" (by Bryton Entertainment) Kellogg Conference Center Theater

Did You Know?
Charles "Chief" Anderson taught primary flight trainig to cadets in both Tuskegee's Civilian Pilot Training Program and Tuskegee's (military) "experiment".
