There is no better place to understand the significance of the Battle of Stones River than on the ground were 81,000 men struggled for control of middle Tennessee.
Teachers can use the lesson plans in the classroom and bring their students to the battlefield for ranger presented programs geared to support those lessons.
Ranger programs are thirty minutes in length and can accomodate up to 40 students. We suggest larger groups (40-90) plan for a 2-3 program rotation. Groups larger than 90 students should consider visits on more than one day.
All educational programs are free of charge.
