We are glad you are coming to Sleeping Bear Dunes!  Search this section of the web site to find information about local lodging and where to eat while in the area. 

If you are bringing a pet, you will want to check our Pets page so you and your pet can have an enjoyable trip.  There are some areas that have restrictions and it is helpful to know about them before you come.

US Life-Saving Service  

Did You Know?
During the winter of 1870-71, 214 people lost their lives in shipwrecks on the Great Lakes, and congress established the US Life-Saving Service to conduct rescues from shore. This became the US Coast Guard in 1915. Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes to see how these men lived and worked.
