Scheduled activities outside the parks:
- Sequoia Speaks: Beginning in late January, Sequoia National Park will host Sequoia Speaks, a monthly speaker series during the winter. It takes place at the Three Rivers Arts Center on North Fork Road, just 1/4 mile from Highway 198. Stop by or call the Foothills Visitor Center for topics, program dates, times, and directions to the arts center: 559-565-4212.
- America's Best Idea: Watch for this amazing film series by Ken Burns program to be rebroadcast on PBS stations this winter. Wallace Stegner coined the phrase to describe our country's national parks.
