Things To Know Before You Come
 

THE SAND CREEK MASSACRE NHS IS OPEN 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM DAILY. THE SITE WILL CLOSE FOR THE SEASON DECEMBER 1, 2008 - APRIL 1, 2009.

CAMPING IS NOT ALLOWED AT THE SAND CREEK MASSACRE NHS.

CAUTION LARGE VEHICLES AND MOTORCYCLISTS: THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 8 MILES OF DIRT/SAND ROADS LEADING TO THE SITE.

TO SCHEDULE A VISIT BETWEEN DECEMBER 1 AND APRIL 1, PLEASE CALL OR WRITE THE PARK AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.  ACCESS WILL BE DETERMINED BY AVAILABILITY OF STAFF AND FORECAST WEATHER CONDITIONS.
