Fees
A ticket is needed for entrance to the historic vessels on Hyde Street Pier. The cost is $5.00 per person and the ticket is good for seven days. Entrance to the ships is free for supervised children under 16. The ticket booth is located on the pier. For more information, call the visitor center at 415-447-5000.

Beginning October 2009, the park is waiving adult park entrance fees on the first Sunday of every month. Park visitors can board the vessels berthed at Hyde Street Pier at no charge.

Reservations
Reservations for school groups, and other educational groups, must be made at least two weeks prior to your visit. Please call, 415-561-6662, ext. 30, to make a reservation.

Special Use Permits
At least one month's notice and application for Special Use Permits is required. Filming permits are arranged on an individual basis. Please call 415-561-7170 for more information, or email.

 

Federal Pass Program
The new interagency pass series collectively known as the America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass will be available for purchase on January 1, 2007. Click here for more information.

Did You Know?
This "Plimsoll Mark" is painted on the port side of Balclutha and named for Samuel Plimsoll, an Englishman who fought to pass the Merchant Shipping Act of 1876. Before this law, many ships were dangerously overloaded and many sank. These “coffin ships” claimed the lives of many sailors.
