Russell Cave National Monument would like to invite everyone to our annual...

Native American Festival

May 1-2, 2010

The festival will be open from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM both days. Admission is free. Food vendors will be available both days or bring your own picnic lunch.

Activities include:

  • Archery
  • Pottery
  • Flintknapping
  • Basketry
  • Hide Tanning
  • Spear Throwing
  • Wood Carving
  • Flute Music

We will also have several hands-on children's activities available compliments of the park.


 

SPECIAL USE PERMITS

Special Use Permits are required for special events in the park (such as weddings and baptisms). Click on the above link to download the form.

The National Geographic Society purchased 310 acres surrounding the cave shelter area and donated the land to the American people. Russell Cave was designated as a National Monument in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy.
