At current lake levels, the trail to the first viewing area at Rainbow Bridge is approximately 1-1/2 miles (2.4 km) one-way on sandy terrain with some up-and-down hills. At this time it is not handicapped accessible.

Rainbow Bridge spans 275 feet across Aztec Creek in an almost perfect parobolic arch. The top of the arch is 42 feet thick and 33 feet wide.
