Junior Ranger Program

A Junior Ranger Activity Booklet is available at the visitor center. There are 2 booklets: one for ages 7 & under and one for ages 8 & older. 

You will explore the Circle Trail, the museum and the petroglyphs with your family, looking for clues that will help you complete the booklet. If you need assistance or have questions a Park Ranger at the visitor center will assist you. 

Upon completion, you will receive a Junior Ranger certificate and a Junior Ranger badge.

This program offers fun for both children and adults while exploring and learning about Pipestone National Monument and its resources.

Did You Know?
Archeological evidence indicates that the quarrying of pipestone has occurred for 3,000 years at Pipestone National Monument. The important traditions of pipestone quarrying and pipemaking continue today.
