The National Park Service (NPS) seeks your review and comments on the "Environmental Assessment for Broadfoot and Shawnee Staging Areas." A full copy of the EA, which analyzes the impacts associated with the alternatives for each site, can be viewed at the NPS Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC) website at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/publicHome.cfm, or may be requested from Ozark National Scenic Riverways, P.O. Box 490, Van Buren, MO 63965, Attn: Staging Areas EA or by calling (573) 323-4236 extension 240.

We are seeking public and agency comments on this environmental assessment from April 26, 2006 through May 26, 2006. Comments must be received no later than May 26, 2006 and may be submitted by two methods:

Did You Know?
"Shut Ins" are an Ozark term for small canyon-like areas where water and rock struggle. Ozark National Scenic Riverways' Rocky Falls is the best known in the park, but there are several more in less easily accessible areas such as near Klepzig Mill. More at www.nps.gov/ozar
