Thornton Creek Road
(off State Route 20 at mile 117)

Elevation at road's end: 2,600'. Rough road – not recommended for low-clearance vehicles. Snowfree. 
Cascade River Road
(off State Route 20 at mile 106)

Open

Elevation at road's end: 3,660'. Open to Cascade Pass Trailhead. Repair work at mile 12.7 (USFS) is planned for September 2009 (road will close during this construction). Road is narrow, please drive SLOWLY.    

Sibley Creek / Hidden Lake Road (USFS #1540)
(off Cascade River Road at mile 9.7)

Elevation at road's end: 3,700'. road graded and repaired in 2008, in very good shape. Melted out. Log across road 50' before parking lot.
Hozomeen Road
(Silver - Skagit Road from Hope, B.C. to Hozomeen)

Open

This road also provides access to Silver Lake and Skagit Valley Provincial Parks in British Columbia. Recently graded but last 10 miles are still rough. Flat tires are not uncommon, so carry a full spare tire.

Stehekin Valley Road

Stehekin Landing to Car Wash Falls (mile 12.8)

Open as conditions permit. Note: road above Car Wash Falls is closed to all motorized travel, including vehicles and bicycles. Stock and hikers use Old Wagon Trail (Pacific Crest Trail).

Shuttle service

 

Shuttle service operates June 19, 2009-October 7, 2009. The privately operated Stehekin Adventures Shuttle Bus makes four trips daily between Stehekin Landing and High Bridge (11 miles from Stehekin Landing). Shuttle reservations for groups are available at ranch@courtneycountry.com.
 

Many trails and climbing routes in the park complex are accessed via U.S. Forest Service roads. To learn about current conditions on these roads, please follow the links below.

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest road report, including: 

  • Baker Lake Road USFS #11 (access to Mt. Shuksan and Baker River Trail),
  • Shannon Creek Road USFS #1152/14 (access to Mt. Shuksan),
  • Hannegan Pass Road USFS #32 and others

Okanogan National Forest road report, including: 

  • Hart's Pass Road USFS #5400,
  • Twisp River Road USFS #44 and others
