Although campsites are available on a first come, first served basis, you can reserve sites at the Cougar Rock and Ohanapecosh campgrounds by visiting the National Recreation Reservation Service web site. You may also call (877) 444-6777 in the United States [(877)833-6777 for TDD] or (518) 885-3639 if calling internationally. If you plan to camp at Cougar Rock or Ohanapecosh between late June and early September, reservations are strongly recommended.

The 93 mile Wonderland Trail encircles the mountain offering hikers commanding views of Mount Rainier blanketed by 25 icy glaciers. The trail leads through extensive subalpine meadows of wildflowers and lowland old growth forest. The Tahoma Creek suspension bridge is part of the Wonderland Trail.
