One of our year round residents

Birding has always been a good reason to come to Anacostia Park and the Aquatic Gardens. The park manages habitat for ground nesting, aquatic, and woodland birds. We welcome volunteers to lead bird walks. Contact the park at (202) 426-6905 to volunteer.

Call the park at (202) 426-6905 to receive an Excel document (60 KB) of our bird list compiled by volunteer Jordan Rutter or click for pdf file.

For an updated list of bird sightings, go to http://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/Infocenter/Nps/park.htm
