Homestead Harmonizers at Ceremony
On Flag Day, June 14, 2008 over 50 new citizens were sworn in at the ceremony. Citizens from around the world were represented. “Homestead National Monument of America is the perfect place to host this event. The Homestead Act of 1862 brought millions of people to the United States to become citizens and have chance to make a better life for themselves and their children,” stated Superintendent Mark Engler. “These new citizens are doing the same thing.”
