Homestead National Monument of America will be hosting Campfire Programs in July. Topics for the programs range from "A Musical Journey Across America: Songs that Helped Shape a Nation" and "Bess Streeter Aldrich: Living History" to "Old Time Songs, Hymns, and Fun Tunes and History of the Mountain Dulcimer". The programs begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Monument’s Education Center and will last approximately one hour. Campfire Programs are held outdoors unless inclement weather occurs. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, insect repellant, and drinking water for comfort. Make plans to attend one or all these free programs.
