Visitor Center Operating Hours & Seasons

Memorial Day  - Labor Day:
Open every day 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Winter Hours:

Beginning October 23rd the Visitor Center will be
closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays until November 23rd.

Beginning November 23rd the Visitor Center will be closed Sunday and Monday and open Tuesday - Saturday from 9:00 - 5:00.

 

The Visitor Center is closed for all Federal Holidays except Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), and Labor Day.

The road leading to the Monument is a public road and is open 24 hours a day.  Access to the Monument closes at dusk.

Did You Know?
The Snake River Overlook, a wheelchair accessible viewing platform, allows a view of bluffs about 600 feet high. They consist of strata, or layers of sediments (sands, silts, and clays) deposited by the flooding of rivers flowing into ancient Lake Idaho more than three million years ago.
