PLAN FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION DELAYS THIS SUMMER. Expect delays up to 30 minutes throughout the summer and fall. Please see the current road construction map for details (updated 06/18/09). Please remember that changes may occur at any time. Call the road information hotline (307-739-3614) for the most current information or stop by a visitor center.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Lizard Creek Campground To Flagg Ranch

Road Construction from Lizard Creek Campground to Flagg Ranch. Expect 30 minute delays day and night through November.

 

Signal Mountain Summit Road

The Signal Mountain Summit Road will be closed for a pavement overlay weekdays only between June 29th and mid-July. The road will be open on weekends (Thrusday Evening through Sunday).

 

Highway 26/89/191

A chip seal will be underway on Highway 26/89/191 from the south boundary of Grand TetonNational Park to Cunningham Cabin from August 24th through early September, 2009. Expect 30 minute delays..

 

Teton Science School/Forest Access Road

Expect 15 minute delays weekdays during July

 

Bridge Maintenance

Maintenance work will be occurring on various bridges throughout the park all summer & fall.  Expect intermittent 15 minute delays.

ROAD CLOSURES
The Teton Park Road from Taggart Lake Trailhead to SignalMountain and the Moose Wilson Road from the Death Canyon Trailhead to the Granite Canyon Trailhead are closed from November 1st through April 30th. The Antelope Flats Road and Signal Mountain Road are also closed during this period. All roads are scheduled to re-open on May 1st.

YELLOWSTONE ROADS
Various road construction projects will be underway in Yellowstone National Park throughout the summer. For Yellowstone road information, check online at www.nps.gov/yell or phone (307) 344-2117.

Did You Know?
Did you know that pronghorns are the fastest mammals in the western hemisphere? They can run up to 70 mph, but do not like to jump fences! In the summer, pronghorn live along Antelope Flats Road, but in fall they migrate almost 200 miles to central Wyoming.
