Wahweap Amphitheater Ranger Programs

Evening Ranger Programs at the Amphitheater in the Wahweap Campground. Meet the Rangers at 8:00pm. The amphitheater is in an outdoor setting, so programs are weather permitting. The Wahweap Campground is located in Wahweap, on Lakeshore Drive, on your left after the four-way stop. Shuttle service from the Lake Powell Resort Lodge is available on request to lodge guests only. It will be dark after the program, so you may want to bring a flashlight. For more information, call 928-608-6404.

Visitors from around the world are deeply attracted to the unique physical landscape of the Colorado Plateau Physiographic Province. The surface features found in the National Parks on the plateau inspire and awe. The program provides a geographic exploration to the Colorado Plateau Region followed by an examination of some of the prominent landforms and how these features were formed. Visitors will have the opportunity to connect to the landscape they travel across and see how the landscape of the plateau has changed throughout the Earth’s history.
