Page, AZ – The weather is getting warmer, the trees are starting to bud, and people’s thoughts are turning to summer vacation. In anticipation of returning visitors, facilities within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (NRA) are open or planning to open soon.

The Lake Powell Resort at Wahweap will open on March 13 with a newly remodeled interior. Java City Coffee Shop and the Driftwood Lounge are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Rainbow Room will be fully operational by the end of March. Defiance House Lodge and Restaurant in Bullfrog will open on March 25.

On April 20, Antelope Point Marina’s floating restaurant Ja’di’To’oh will be open every day for lunch and dinner.

The Wahweap Fuel Dock is "on call" now and will be fully open with staff on March 31. Work continues on replacing the lift station at the Stateline Boat Pumpout. That facility is expected open in early May.

Some facilities have opened already. Stateline Fuel Dock is open. Dangling Rope Marina opened on March 1. The Carl Hayden Visitor Center is now operating on spring hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours of the dam begin at 8:30.

Work continues on the Castle Rock Cut, while lake elevation projections by the Bureau of Reclamation remain optimistic. Everyone is looking forward to a rewarding season.

Live to Play Another Day - BE SAFE!

Did You Know?
Be careful what you breathe. Boat generators, engines, and gas appliances produce deadly carbon monoxide gases. Ensure proper ventilation. Don't swim, sit, or work near exhaust.
