Accessibility

There is handicap parking close to the Visitor Center. Although the Visitor Center is somewhat handicap accessible, the other nine buildings have porches and steps that can make them difficult to navigate. In addition, the only paved walkway is to the Visitor Center, the rest are gravel and grass.

The May 1999 Cultural Landscape Report, Appendix B, has preliminary deign recommendations to make the park more universally accessible. Funding has been requested for these projects with work to begin in fiscal year 2006 on the Visitor Center and Barracks building.
