Flight 93 National Memorial is located in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, in southwestern Pennsylvania. Somerset County lies within a 500-mile radius of two-thirds of the nation's population, and is about 2 1/2 hours driving time from Pittsburgh; 3 1/2 hours from the Washington D.C./Baltimore area; and about 4 hours from Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-70/76) extends through the center of the county with an interchange (Exit 110) at Somerset Borough, which is also the county seat.

Temporary Memorial
Almost immediately after the crash of Flight 93, visitors began arriving in Somerset County to see the place where the path of the plane ended. Realizing the public's need to visit here, local officials and volunteers created a temporary memorial on a hilltop overlooking the crash site. The Temporary Memorial is located on private property, but is maintained by the National Park Service through a license agreement with the landowner, and is staffed by volunteer Ambassadors.

Park Office
The National Park Service Office is located at 109 West Main Street, Somerset, Pennsylvania, about 12 miles and 20 minutes from the Temporary Memorial.
