Chekika is open seasonally due to a tendency to flood during the wet season. This popular part of the Park is in the northeastern part of the park at the west end of Southwest 168th Avenue and will be open from dawn to dusk.

Amenities
The Chekika Entrance is open seasonally December 1 - April 30 and closed May 1- November 30.
This popular part of the Park is located at the west end of SW 168th Avenue and will during the dry season is open from dawn to dusk.
Chekika offers picnicking opportunities and a self guided short hiking trail through a hammock.
It is also a good location for bicycle rides along paved roads and canal banks in this section of the park also known as East Everglades.
Portable Restrooms are available.
