ACTIVITY FEES

There are no admission fees to the Erie Canalway and most of the towpath sections. There are fees for boating through the locks and private and non-profit historic sites may charge admission or accept donations for special events and programs.

Did You Know?
The Barge Canal consists of the Erie Canal and the three chief branches of the State system: the Champlain, the Oswego and the Cayuga and Seneca canals. There are 57 locks on the Barge Canals.
