For the inquisitive and inquiring minds who have to know, Poe's historic house is open for self-guided tours. Take your time to check the floor boards, peek into the closets and let you imagination run wild as you walk the room once roamed by Poe himself.

There is a self-guided brochure to help guide you through the house. It provides insight and directions so you don't get lost. We are not responsible for any goosebumps, new found fears, sounds or strange occurrences while in the home.

Enjoy your self-guided tour, all alone, in that big creepy old house.

Eleanor Roosevelt's Val-Kill was once the Roosevelt family retreat. The main building at Val-Kill was originally a furniture factory. Val-Kill is Dutch, for valley stream.
