Great Backyard Bird Count

Sponsored by Audubon Society and the Cornell University Ornithology Laboratory, this event is open to anyone able to give 15 minutes of birdwatching time, even in their own backyards. Photographers and artists can also submit their work. The event is usually held over the 3-day Presidents' Day weekend. More information.

Did You Know?
... that the Middle Delaware River exceeds ordinary federal standards for clean water. Because of this, special higher standards have been set for the river, so it does not "deteriorate" to being just "clean enough." The river in this park is, and will remain, truly "cleaner than clean."
