Special Events and Programs- "Stars of Congaree" We invite you to join Ranger Nelson for a special evening of learning and viewing the twinkling stars and glowing planets of the summer sky. With minimal light pollution, Congaree National Park is an amazing place to enjoy the night sky! This program will begin with a short presentation in the auditorium and we will have several telescopes available for viewing the night sky. Please sign up by calling 803-776-4396 for this special event on July 25th from 8:30pm-10:00pm at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center.

The Elevated Boardwalk at Congaree National Park is raised roughly 8 feet off the ground, is 3 miles from the Congaree River, and floods over about every 4 to 5 years.
