Catoctin Mountain Park is open all year. There are seasonal road closures in the winter months and occasional temporary partial park closures when requested for additional security.

If it is late fall or early winter, please click on either the getting around link or the road closure link.

If there is a temporary partial park closure, a link on the right side of this page will appear with details of the closure and a map of the closure. This link will not appear unless there is a closure.

Did You Know?
After camping in Misty Mount for 1 season (1937), the Maryland League for Crippled Children moved to Camp Greentop, one of the earliest camps in the nation designed specifically for people with disabilities. Renamed The League for People with Disabilities they continue to camp in Greentop today.
