Welcome to Cape Krusenstern National Monument, one of 4 areas within Western Arctic National Parklands. These lands comprise some of the most beautiful areas as well as being some of the most remote and least visited in the national park system.

Our park headquarters is located in the community of Kotzebue, a service and transportation hub of Northwest Alaska. Naturally, the majority of our park visitors are local residents with many participating in their traditional subsistence activities. 

In addition, the Western Arctic National Parklands offers rich natural and cultural history of Bering Land Bridge National Preserve, Cape Krusenstern National Monument, Noatak National Preserve, and Kobuk Valley National Park. The park mission statement reflects our commitment to why we are here, Western Arctic National Parklands: Cooperative stewardship for the conservation and understanding of natural and cultural resources in Northwest Alaska.

Bering Land Bridge, Cape Krusenstern, Noatak, and Kobuk Valley are just four of the over 390 areas managed by the National Park Service for their conservation and understanding. So welcome and we look forward to hearing from you as you plan you visit to the Western Arctic parks.
