The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area is located in the heart of the southeastern United States, within a few hours’ drive of Atlanta, Nashville, Charleston, Charlotte, and Raleigh.  Asheville is the largest city in the North Carolina mountains and is served by the Asheville Regional Airport.

Did You Know?
North Carolina is home to the highest mountain east of the Mississippi River - Mount Mitchell, which rises to an elevation of 6,684 feet. It is located within the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area.
