The annual Haunting in the Hills Storytelling Festival is held each September at Bandy Creek.

The Sixteenth Annual "Haunting in the Hills" Storytelling Festival was held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. The annual event included in-school presentations, storytelling and craft workshops, afternoon storytelling presentations and music. The day's events concluded with the telling of ghost stories in an area adjacent to the Bandy Creek Visitor Center. As always, the event was free to the public.

Next year's event, the 17th Annual "Haunting in the Hills" will be held on  Saturday, September 19, 2009.  Please visit this page often for information on the festivals featured tellers and planned events..
