Guest Speakers
 

The Alaska Centers host a variety of special programs and events featuring guest speakers and partners. Events vary from site-to-site but include Discovery Days in Fairbanks, Friday Night Insight Programs in Ketchikan, and First Saturdays in Anchorage. Special guests include scientists, artists, storytellers, educators, and even live rehabilitated birds & animals. 

All programs are free of charge to the public.

Alaska has the largest concentration of bald eagles in the world. More than 3,500 bald eagles come to the Chilkat River, north of Haines, in the fall and winter to feed on the late salmon runs.
