If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to work for the National Park Service, you can find out here. The National Park Service has historic, natural and cultural parks. There many jobs beside the ones people see, like rangers and maintenance. There are needs for computer and information technology experts, accountants, architects, engineers and other skills. Through this program, you will get experience in a few of the areas of park operation; researching history, developing a display, natural resource research, policy, and leadership.
The park will send you a certificate of completion when you are finished. Some schools may give you school credit or community service hours for completing the program, so bring the information to your guidance counselor and ask.
When you are done, you should have a very good idea if the National Park Service is an organization that fits your goals and personality. To begin, click here (50.5Kb)
