The success of Pulitzer Prize winning author, David McCullough's biography: John Adams; and subsequent HBO series: John Adams, Adams National Historical Park has experienced an increase in park visitation. Tours are offerred on a first-come, first-service basis. Tour size for the historic homes is set at a maximum of 10 visitors per tour. Weekends are the parks busiest time and tours frequently reach capacity by early afternoon.
 
Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside of the homes.
